How to reduce the spam in your WordPress blog comments

For beginners like me, it is often difficult to differentiate between true comment the blog and comment spam. Receives 15 to 25 new comments every day of what is spam and that it is difficult for me to manage. So I looked Google on this issue and find some useful solutions that I will share with you.

Akismet (Automatic Kismet) plugin: This plugin comes with every installation of WordPress and is a trusted plugin for filtering spam from genuine comments. Re-CAPTCHAplugin: This is another effective method for reducing spam, but it can reduce the number of regular reviews, as most people find it annoying to enter CAPTCHA to post comments on a blog. The idea behind re-CAPTCHAis to display an image with distorted words and ask users to type the word before sending the comment. Of thus be prevented from spam bots to publish your comments on your blog.

Mollom: This is one of the largest website of the filtering system spam that dramatically reduces the burden of moderation blog. You can install the free Mollom WordPress Plugin and the need to create an account and activate the plugin. Molllom use Akismet, the type of spam filtering technique combined with CAPTCHA to look at comments from spam.

Close comments on older posts: older posts that get good traffic are often the best targets for spammers, so close comments on older posts is a good strategy to combat comment spam. Just go to Settings -> Discussion Forum. Click "Close automatically comment on the article for more "box and enter the number of days.
