Social Media News Releases Explained

You've probably heard the term "social liberation of the media" in all rumors about the new web, social, but what does it mean? A social media press release is like a traditional press, except it is also social media and Web 2.0 optimized. Simply put, this press release encourages interactivity, can be easily shared on social networks, and contains a number of other elements of Web 2.0.

Usually, these additional elements include:

* Multimedia items, such as downloading images, PDF / DOC, or audio / video files.
* One way for readers to comment directly on the press release content.

If you or your company to produce press releases online or e-mail regularly, you should be using the media of the press releases. Creating your press releases using a blogging platform like WordPress makes it easy to incorporate additional social media optimization functions. The comments have already been integrated, and there are a number of plugins to add Technorati tags to WordPress posts and social bookmarking and other features.
