04 Getting Original Content by Reviewing Videos

I still haven’t picked my domain name, but while we’re waiting on that, let’s take a look at ”Rank and Pillage”, one of the “internet marketing strategies” I have learned.

This strategy takes advantage of the expertise of others, to provide value on your site and to attract/drive traffic to it. The primary method is to use Youtube videos.

In summary, here is the method:

Find content videos within your niche market that offer helpful tips, strategies and offer true value. In my case I will be looking for videos on survivalism.
Take notes on the video and create bullet points on the most important points of the helpful video.
Create a simple 200-400 word article and post it to my Survivalism site, leveraging SEO Tactics (covered in future modules). Include the video in my post.
Do this again and again.

The goal is to drive traffic to my survivalism niche with content that matters — content which gets people to slow down their online browsing long enough to think, “Hey!
