Choosing a WordPress theme (and why even the thesis of the heart)

If you know anything about me, you know I always recommend WordPress platform for people looking to get their own website or blog and run fast. You may also know that I use and recommend the thesis topic. What is a theme? One of the topics about WordPress is just a way to modify and customize the design, look and feel of your WordPress site.

Once you've installed WordPress, by default it does a standard WordPress itself, pretty boring issues outside of the box. In most cases, you want to find something a bit more upscale beyond stay with the default.

Luckily, you have tons of options and you can go with a free item or pay a premium. There are a number of issues available free and is likely to find one that fits the vision you have of how your site should look.

So, why would anyone pay for an item when there are so many unanswered available? A big reason is that you may find yourself wanting to customize your site in the future and can be long and frustrating attempt to "hack" the topic to do so. The alternative is to purchase a quality issue, which is usually priced in the range of $ 30 to 100 for a single use license. Topics premiums often include a lot of options making it easy to customize, plus support and documentation available, if you end up with questions or problems.

When I started using WordPress I created some sites with free themes, but decided to go to the premium when I launched my site current for the same reasons I listed above. The topic I chose is the thesis topic by clean and professional appearance, strong, built-in SEO and active support forum and helpful. The cost of a personal site option is $ 87. I've been very happy with the thesis and a number other business owners have been so well it has a reputation absolutely stellar.

Even if you have found an issue or a bonus that you like, there may still some details as you would like to have added. If graphic design is not your forte, there are plenty of talented people out there who can create exactly what you need to improve the look of your blog and make your vision a reality. I went this route, with a header and some buttons designed to "dress" my subject.
