Best CMS (Content Management System) for e-commerce site?

There are plenty of CMS wordpress for example, drives the expression joomlah and the list goes on. What is your personal experience and that you think is best for a rookie. basic knowledge of web graphics and moderate technical to use and configure? Basically I'm trying to teach and help create an e-commerce website with the function of charity, where people can donate and get crafts and food etc made by charities in return. There are list of items in the database where you can buy such as books, paintings, clothing. What payment system is good, besides paypal?

Zen Cart (OSCommerce or parent) has probably been the most popular open source solution e-commerce. Since it is quite old, it is very swollen and very unfriendly use. Magento is one of the newer ones that became very popular lately. Not I can say much about it because they have not used. I've been using Joomla VirtueMart extension. It's pretty good, but VirtueMart does not support the latest version of Joomla that was just released this month. Google Checkout and PayPal are free, but if you want a more integrated solution that will have to open a merchant account and use a gateway payment. They work very similar, so only choose one of the support of your shopping cart. I think in his case might be an exaggeration use a full blown e-commerce solution. I suggest choosing a host e-commerce solution like Amazon or Yahoo store or Shopify. This so usually comes with a monthly fee, but deals with things like credit card payments, which is usually a monthly fee comparable anyway.
