Dude, you have a fucked up voice! Ugly… Drink some warm milk before recording your grindy voice. Just copy-paste your html code in your post and that’s it.
Cheers….
From youTube, under URL you have Embed: Copy that code.
thanks!
Thank you so much! It worked!
did not help me as wordpress has changed… :/
Thanks Jack… very helpful
thnx dude!!
its easy if you see..
just go to your user profile and it s on the 1st option.
Good video, very handy feature. Great strategy for using WordPress for both advertising and building a site. Anyone who’s new at WordPress or is trying to find new applications to use on it, check out my videos What is a WordPress Plugin? and How To Create An Author Box In WordPress to learn more. My step by step tutorials on my channel will help you to get to the next level of WordPress.
This video is out of date because wordpress has updated their interface. The thing says “Disable the visual editor when writing.” which is the opposite of the “Use visual editor when writing” check box. So, you want the box CHECKED to allow you to embed the html code in your html text field.
Your fabulous thanks for showing me this, it has been driving me crazy all morning trying to get a video on my blog, two seconds after watching your video, hey presto I’m good to go! thanks again, Sally
You are Awesome, thank you for making my blog 5 times better.
Thanks so much, it is so easy after you disable the rich text editor. Fantastic!
@djNymph
I’m sure someone has helped you with this by now since your post is a month old, but I’ll ask anyway since this method worked fine for me. Are you in the visual or html mode in the post editor when trying to add video to your WP page. I thought it wasn’t working either until I had an “aha!” moment and noticed I was in the visual editor. Hope that helped a bit.
gee this is just a great video. have spent more than 2 days trying to do just this and you have really helped. have left u a one more like. this is uma nair the ultimate mlm junkie from sydney signing off. cheers and keep up the good work
Thanks for this post. WordPress changed the user profile page and I could not find the field you mentioned. However, I simply followed your instructions and used copy and paste to include the embed code. Voila, it worked. You rock!
thanks so much – I was stuck and that was a quick fix. I swtiched to “HTML” tab at the top of my editor and that was the fix.
I love guys like you. I keep forgetting to check all these great learning videos here on You Tube. I just started building my first real blog and I am ‘real green’ so I appreciate your sharing.
Thanks much.
Thank you. That was easy (now that you’ve shown me how)
This was so eeeeeze thanks………
@djNymph I have a new version and it worked for me by just chosing the html tab on the upper right. Leave it on that tab when you publish. It worked great – after years of not understanding or being able to have video on my blog.
Thank you! That helped so much!! For those it did not help-the box you have to uncheck has simply moved to the top of the page and says visual editor not, rather than visual rich…
Yes, WordPress has changed, but this was still a GREAT help! Have to be willing to take a chance or two, but it was clear enough there wasn’t much chance involved.
thank you very much..even thoug wordpress change i still got it..u rock
