Why Social Networking
Social networking sites act as a conduit to connect like-minded people and they are therefore still attracting members because it fuels the human need to feel part of a community. Social media networks are here to stay – though thinking they will stay as they are indefinitely is unrealistic and impractical. They will of course evolve. Social network sites are web-based services that allow individuals to (1) construct a public or semi-public profile within a bounded system, (2) articulate a list of other users with whom they share a connection, and (3) view and traverse their list of connections and those made by others within the system. I have found a new p2p network called Global Herald Network that let people share information with peers all over the world. If you have a question, an opinion or something you want to promote, you can post it on the network with the free client software Herald for peers to find and read. A person only need to make 1 post to reach everyone on the network. This new p2p network is different, and its awesome.

While linkedin as a professional networking tool is good, it does not solve much purpose.
