22 Flexsqueeze Setup – Continued

My Internet Marketing Strategies Journey to Success

This post is going to cover a few issues related to settingup our WordPress theme for the http://survivalskillsandgear.com project blog we are working on for this project.  The goal again, is to create an authority website that we can monetize and make some money from.

In the FlexSqueeze Theme settings page, and also most of the Flixibilty3 settings, you will find the following sections that you have control over.

This AdSense / Banner Ads button controls what and how promotions will behave on your WordPress powered websites.

This Analytics / Javascript button is intended for setting up Google Analytics accounts by entering its code or the Google Analytics Web Property ID after having installed it. All this will enable you to track how your site is doing over time.

This Custom CSS Code button enables you to make changes to the CSS (Custome Style Sheets) that your site uses including the fonts, the colors and the size of the text.

Short Codes are small snippets of HTML code that add all kinds of great functionality to your WordPress blog. However, they are not available in this Lite version of FlexSqueeze.

The Import / Reset button will let you use the Import feature to upload skins with all their settings and graphics. And the reset feature will allow you to reset all customization back to the original defaults.

This AdSense / Banner Ads button controls what and how promotions will behave on your WordPress powered websites.  Whenever you first start a blog it is best to NOT use adsense or have a bunch of affiliate as on it.  The reason, I have been told, is that the search engines will come back to your site sooner if they see that it is not a spammy advertisement site. So, we are going to leave the Adsense turned off for now.

This Analytics / Javascript button is intended for setting up Google Analytics accounts by entering its code or the Google Analytics Web Property ID after having installed it. All this will enable you to track how your site is doing over time.  Make sure you have multiple analytics accounts so that you don’t have all your sites under one Google Analytics account.

All you need to do is go to http://www.google.com/analytics/ .  To sign up you will need an email address and the URL of your website. Set up your site then just grab the XX-XXXXXXXX-X code and past it into the Analyics tab in Flexsqeeze.

Shortcodes lets you use snippets of code so you don’t have to right a bunch of programs from scratch.  Short Codes are small snippets of HTML code that add all kinds of great functionality to your WordPress blog. However, they are not available in this Lite version of FlexSqueeze. These are not available with Flexsqeese lite so if you want them you will need to upgrade to the full Flexsqueeze theme.

This Custom CSS Code button enables you to make changes to the CSS (Custome Style Sheets) that your site uses including the fonts, the colors and the size of the text. Playing with the CSS code is for advanced users only.

The Import / Reset button will let you use the Import feature to upload skins with all their settings and graphics. And the reset feature will allow you to reset all customization back to the original defaults. You can purchase additional themes with special headers and codes in them.  For example, you can buy a skincare theme or an affiliate marketing theme.  This is only available with the pro version.

The Theme Skins button lets you select a theme skin of your choice, to buy it, to downloaded and to then import it into your WordPress site.

Squeeze and Sales Pages – When setting up your Internet marketing website and publishing the unique content I am always pushing for, you will be using Pages and Posts.

When you are placing content onto a wordpress blog you are usually either doing a post or a page. This part lets you use templates on pages that serve special purposes, like creating a sales page.  Setting up a sales page lets you create a page without the sidebars, navigation menus etc. This way you have a nice clean sales page without any distractions.  Flexsqueeze comes with nine different sales pages you can pick from.

This has been a very, very high level intro into Flexsqueeze.  Remember to view the video tutorials for in-depth coverage.
