Central to almost all ”internet marketing strategies” is the concept of the niche market and being able to attract tons of viewers to that market.

So, I need to pick a niche that I am interested in and that has the potential to generate some income. Then I will need to create a traffic website (in my case a wordpress blog) and drive traffic to it.

There are a lot of places you can go to look for ideas for a niche topic. Many people advocate that you find a population of people with a need and then create a product to meet that need.

I am starting out by doing it the other way around.  I am looking for extremely popular products to promote that people are buying and paying decent money for.  Later on in this course we will be covering how to create your own product for a hungry niche.

To find my niche I looked at Clickbank for high gravity items (means they sell) and have an average sale of at least $30.  You can look at other affiliate marketers to find products to market.

So far, my research has narrowed my search to three topics.

  • Forgotten Laws of Attraction
  • Learn Spanish (or Mandarin)
  • Survivalism

Of the three, I am the most interested in survivalism (dating back to my days as a boy scout).  The Laws of Attraction and Learning Spanish, although with great potential, do not interest me that much.  So now I need to find a “survival” related domain name.
