WordPress Marketing Guy

Working in the implementation of a semi-blog updated frequently. I was hoping to get some advice from some users I33t.?

I am a musician of moonlighting in web marketing and want to start a blog with tracking capabilities. I obviously want to integrate my applications of affiliates as well. I was thinking go with WordPress And Twitter. Can you give a little advice if you think these are a good option, or if you know of others who are more powerful, unique, etc.
