Configuring WordPress

To install WordPress, we have to register a domain and server to publish our blog platform WordPress. Choosin a server is one of the most important step, so please see our article "Best WordPress Hosting Companys". We recommend using one of these hosting companies from there. After the introduction is guaranteed to work on those servers. When you have your domain (eg yoursite.com) and activates the server (for example, Site5), you must follow the steps simpel.

1. Download software latest version of WordPress wordpress.org or earlier versions of www.bestplaceon.net / wordpress. Unzip on your desktop.

2.Find to your server name, FTP username and FTP password. Usually, you will be sent by e.mail when you have registered the server provider. If you have any contact get e-mail hosting provider. Usually, the server name is your domain (eg yoursite.com), but username and password genereted be. More often than not are different from your chosen informatsion access backend. You can try to use sign-in FTP backend, but dout it will work.

3.If you know how to use an FTP client nad have one installed on your computer skip this step. If you do not know anything about FTP, Filezilla download the form here: filezilla-project.org. It's the best free FTP client out there and work on both Mac and PC. Install FTP software on your computer and open it.

4.Use information referred to in 2. step in to fill "Server:", "Username:", "Password" the Filezilla fields and click "connect". If you entered the correct information is recorded in the domain / directory on the server (right window). I Site5 host use, so you have to open "www" directory folder.

5.Go to "Desktop" (left window) in the Filezilla and open the folder of WordPress there. Select all the files, if all the files in "WordPress" folder is turned right-click mouse within the window and choose to upload. NB! Make sure you upload all files in "www" folder.

6. Go to your hosting account base and make a new base MySQL database. How to make the MySQL database depends on your service provider. I will add Site5, Westhost, Hostgator, Bluehost and JustHost "How to" soon.

7. Open IE and go to your site (eg www.yoursite.com). If you have run all right until then you'll see the WordPress Installation screen. Fill in the fields.
Database name and username database is in control panel or phpMyAdmin.
Host always "localhost" and table prefix must be "wp_."
