Blogger Vs WordPress - Which is better for you?

When I was looking to create a blog, I had many options. But it boils down to two: blogger (Also known as blogspot) and wordpress. Why these two? Because they are the most popular and most importantly they are SEO - what means that search engines can search through them and display them in their search results.

Although there are a lot of debates about which is better, I did not care because I wanted a blog that I can use to communicate with my customers and readers. At the end of the day I just wanted a blog that is easy to use, let me do what I do, and most importantly my clients and readers can easily navigate through without any problems.

I guess give it a try blogger. Therefore, I have them, it was free. That was great! But I did not know much about blogs, but this was perfect for me. This way I could test drive this blog. Once you have a blogger created a url (http://kumarphotography.blogspot.com) for me. Now I was ready a blog. I thought the blogger gave me a standard text editor (which gave me the ability of HTML coding - see below) to start posting.

With blogger, I can not only add text to my post, but the images too. The best part about the pictures was that blogger would host (store) the images on your server. I could have stored more than a million photos and did not have to worry about anything.

There were other things I liked about blogger. One, who was able to add YouTube videos, if you wanted. Second, blogger gave me some standard themes (appearance of the blog) I could choose. Another was that could add additional links on the right side, if you wanted. I can choose whether you want people to leave comments on my post (s). I was really getting good at this in blogs. So, well I guess give it a try wordpress.

I installed wordpress on my own site. The installation was so simple that even a caveman can do it (sounds like GEICO commercial). After installing the wordprerss, I realized that it is an open source system. That is, all updates are always FREE! Not to mention the fact that you have the truck loading addons I could use for free. For example, it has advanced html editor (similar to Microsoft Word - see below) with the spell checker.

In addition, there are many themes and plugins: classification system (the ability to my readers to rate my posts), social networks show links (facebook, twitter, myspace, etc), SEO and many more.

My favorite is the blog system DEFINITELY WordPress because it has everything that has blogger and then some more.
