WordPress Codex Plugin

WordPress - you will be asked where to save the file to update plugin?

I just installed wordpress on my server, thanks to the "installation celebrity five minutes "- Http: / / codex.wordpress.org / Installing_WordPress. I am a complete novice in these things, but have managed to install some plugins and a new theme. My problem with AdSense is easy plugin (and others) - when I need to make changes and click the button "Save Changes", a window wondering where I'd like to save the php file .. I just want to update it and keep it in line with the server. I have a misconfiguration somewhere part? Or am I doing something wrong? I'm just trying to save the changes to the file online, but it seems to wantme to save locally. Thanks in advance. Can anyone help me with this? It seriously makes me crazy and I'm sure it's quite simple. I'm hoping someone might be able to know point me in the right direction. Thanks!
